deceived, ignored, discouraged, mocked and service refused just for a $550 consultation fee
1- I contacted the firm, after finding them with a google search, to discuss a minor malicious vexatious criminal charge from a malicious vexatious fraudulent IVO.
2- I told them I have grievances with the maggotstrate court for a few years and asked if they would still be wiling to represent me (by email)
3- they agreed to and booked a time for a consultation (and requesting the $550 fee)
4- I paid the fee and also sent proof of my grievances (which gave them a chance to back out of providing a service to me, and allowing them to refund the fee, before the consultation). they did not refuse at this stage.
5- the consultation went ahead a few days later and the lawyer will hart repeatedly discouraged me from taking any kind of legal action against the person responsible for assaulting me and then taking out malicous vexatious IVO against me, then later attempting to attack me with his dog (despite making allegations that he was scared of me). the lawyer stated clearly that 'he has a duty to the courts' (which I took to mean that they put their duty to me, the paying customer with a legal problem, below their duty to the courts).
6- the lawyer told me i should forget about trying to protect myself and young son with an IVO (despite credible death threats from the responsible) and I should just focus on malicious charge.
7- the lawyer said he would chase up documents that were missing from the charge paperwork at no additional cost and he would get back to me to discuss, so I could make a decision on how to proceed.
8- weeks went by and I did not hear from the lawyer at all
9-tried to contact the lawyer via email and had no response.
10- contacted the firm by phone twice and was promised a return call, but received nothing, twice.
11- eventually got through to him weeks later and asked if he got the missing docs, and he stated that 'he thought I was not going to engage the firm' (which is not true, i never stated that to them). he said he would chase up the docs once again.
12- I contacted the firm a week or so later and spoke to him again and he said 'we arent required to speak on your behalf' (words to that effect). a convoluted way of saying we dont want to represent you (which in my opinion they planned to not represent me from the beginning after getting the $550 consultation fee from me first).
13- I attended their office and the only additional doc the lawyer got was a single form that showed the court gave the cops an order for alternative serving of fraudulent. malicious charges (because I was not physically contactable due to work etc, despite the cops having a chance to serve me when they made contact with me during a traffic stop, which they didnt do.
no other critical missing docs were recovered by the lawyer (failed to do as promised).
I told him my discontent with the service and why (while will hart smirked at my legitimate distress, frustration and complaint in a mocking way), then I left the premises.
14- I wrote an email to the firm expressing my discontent and the seemingly deliberate poor service I received based on taking my money then discouraging me from legal defence and also based on the failed promise. I asked for a refund based on my opinion that they just wanted to extract a fee from me then ignore me. I was told they would look into it and get back to me.
15- I waited a couple of weeks and heard nothing back from them.
16- I told them they have another week to respond or I would make a complaint to VLSB Victorian Legal Services Board, and they didnt respond,
17- I made a complaint to VSLB and they contacted me in an attempt to coerce me into dropping the complaint. They said 'you had a consultation so they provided the service'. I said that they didnt provide it as they promised and failed me when I needed representation in court. VSLB told me I needed a receipt as proof of the service.
18- I asked the law firm for a receipt of the service they did (but didnt provide properly), but they havent responded (so technically they are refusing to provide proof of the service) and I cant complete a complaint through VSLB. My opinion is the law firm knows I cant make a complaint without the receipt (or they are surreptitiously conspiring with VSLB to play a game with me to cause me to drop the complaint).
total lack of integrity and professionalism towards a paying customer who simply has grievances with the fraud and corruption that had occurred within the police and courts towards me (which happens alot of innocent people by the way).
my personal opinion is that if you have grievances with any fraud or corruption that the police or courts have directed at you, dont use this law firm, because they may side with the police and courts before they side with you as the customer (even when you are innocent and being mistreated by the system).
others potentially strongly recommend not contacting them for any legal issues.
