Threatening & Abusive Behaviour. Lack of comprehension of issues.

1

I generally would not write a negative review after a free initial consultation, however the actions of Graham Lancaster has left me little choice. Firstly, my initial interaction with reception was courteous and pleasant. I arrived early and the staff member offered me a drink and was friendly and welcoming. Graham introduced himself to me and directed us through to a meeting room which was clean and presentable. The consultation appeared to go smoothly, and he listened to my issues and asked questions where appropriate. This was a complex matter so I appreciated his thoroughness. He mentioned it was a case he did not feel as though he wanted to take on, which I respected. He offered my some advice in relation to other local businesses to try calling. However, when it came to parting ways Graham remarked "If you ever find yourself in a witness box, you would not be a credible witness". After an hour of open and honest dialogue, this remark took me by surprise, so I asked why that was. Graham's response was "because you're a liar". As the consultation was for my benefit, there was no reason to lie, nor did I at any stage. When I asked what he felt I had not told the truth about, his manner became very aggressive and threatening. He became insistent that I leave immediately. His behaviour changed within a matter of seconds, with no provocation on my part or explanation from himself. When I asked him to clarify why he felt that way once again, he threatened to contact the police if I did not leave straight away. I felt unsafe with the way he was acting and I left promptly as instructed. I was so confused by his actions I stood outside the door (which was immediately closed behind me) for a period of time in shock and confusion. Putting aside this unwarranted show of aggression, his statement that I am a "liar" was simply untrue. This leads me to question his abilities and judgement, as it baffles me how someone could get something so wrong. Based on my experience, I could not recommend the services of Lancaster Law & Mediation.
